Annwyl Ymwelydd,

Fel Pennaeth Ysgol Penalltau mae’n bleser mawr gennyf eich croesawu i wefan yr ysgol. Gobeithio y bydd yn rhoi'r wybodaeth gynhwysfawr sydd ei hangen arnoch a chipolwg ar fywyd yr ysgol. Yn Ysgol Penalltau rydym wir yn teimlo ein bod wrth galon y gymuned leol.

Mae Ysgol Penalltau yn ffodus iawn i gael tîm o weithwyr proffesiynol medrus, ymroddedig iawn sy’n gweithio’n galed i sicrhau bod plant yn mwynhau dod i’r ysgol a’u bod yn gweithio’n galed bob dydd i wireddu eu breuddwydion. Mae ymrwymiad y staff, rhieni, llywodraethwyr a’r Gymdeithas Rhieni ac Athrawon yn aruthrol ac yn rhywbeth y dylid ei ddathlu.

Ein gwerthoedd craidd yw ‘Parch, Parodrwydd a Pherthyn’. Rydym yn sefyll yn gadarn wrth y geiriau hyn ac yn ymdrechu i addysgu ein disgyblion i fod yn ddysgwyr uchelgeisiol, galluog, sy’n barod i ddysgu gydol eu hoes ac sy’n ddinasyddion egwyddorol, gwybodus o Gymru a’r byd. O’r eiliad mae ein plant yn mynd i’r Meithrin rydym yn credu mewn meithrin Meddylfryd Twf yn ein disgyblion. Rydym am i'n plant groesawu heriau dyddiol a defnyddio'r profiadau i'w gwneud yn gryfach. Rydyn ni eisiau i'n plant weithio y tu hwnt i'w disgwyliadau fel mai dim ond wedyn y byddan nhw'n sylweddoli bod yr amhosibl yn wir yn bosibl.

Mae’r ysgol yn gymuned ddysgu fywiog gyda disgyblion sy’n dangos agweddau hynod gadarnhaol at ddysgu ac yn cymryd rhan lawn mewn tasgau grŵp unigol a chydweithredol. Mae rhan fwyaf y disgyblion yn dangos lefelau eithriadol o hyder ac annibyniaeth o oedran cynnar iawn. Maent yn gwrtais iawn ac yn barchus tuag at oedolion ac at ei gilydd a dangosant gryn ofal ac ystyriaeth tuag at eraill. Mae’r ysgol yn gymuned ddysgu gynhwysol gydag ethos rhagorol ac ymdeimlad o undod sy’n cefnogi dysgu a lles disgyblion yn fawr.

Mae gen i gymaint mwy y gallwn ei ddweud am ein hysgol anhygoel ond rwy'n meddwl mai'r peth gorau yw gorffen trwy nodi, fy nghyflwyniad i'r ysgol a dim ond ffenestr i galon ein hysgol y mae'r wefan yn ei chynnig, felly mae croeso i chi agor y drws a threfnu ymweliad â'r ysgol ar ei orau bob dydd.

As the Headteacher of Ysgol Penalltau it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our school website.  I hope it provides you with the comprehensive information you require and a glimpse into the life of the school.  At Ysgol Penalltau we truly feel that we are at the heart of the local community.

Ysgol Penalltau is very fortunate to have a team of very skilled, dedicated professionals who work hard to ensure that children enjoy coming to school and that they are working hard each day to achieve their dreams. The commitment of staff, parents, governors and the PTA is phenomenal and is something that should be celebrated.

Our core values are ‘Respect, Readiness and Belonging’.  We stand firmly by these words and endeavour to teach our pupils to be ambitious, capable learners, ready to learn throughout their lives and who are ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world. From the moment our children enter Nursery we believe in fostering in our pupils a Growth Mindset. We want our children to embrace daily challenges and to use the experiences to make them stronger. We want our children to work beyond their expectations so that only then will they truly realise that the impossible is indeed possible.

The school is a vibrant learning community with pupils who demonstrate extremely positive attitudes to learning and engage fully in individual and collaborative group tasks. Most pupils display exceptional levels of confidence and independence from a very early age. They are very polite and respectful towards adults and each other and show considerable care and consideration for others.  The school is an inclusive learning community with an outstanding ethos and sense of unity that supports the learning and wellbeing of pupils greatly.

I have so much more I could say about our amazing school but I think it is best to end by stating, my introduction to the school and the website only offers a window into the heart of our school, so please feel free to open the door and arrange a visit to the school at its daily best.
